One person died after a small plane crashed in Sahuarita on Wednesday afternoon.

The Pima County Sheriff’s Department confirmed that deputies responded to a downed aircraft near the 17000 block of South Lone Saguaro. Only one person was in the aircraft at the time of the crash.Β 

Details on what led to the crash were not released.Β
