Tucson police arrested a second suspect in an armed robbery and attempted carjacking from last October, authorities said Friday.

Paul Gasbarri, 46, was involved in the incident in front of a "Desert Sports and Fitness," 2480 North Pantano Road on October 18. He fled in a vehicle owned by the other suspect, 35-year-old Daniel Spear after Spear ran to a nearby car wash.

He attempted to pick up Spear from the Auto Car Wash, 7811 East Tanque Verde Road, but fled when he saw police already on scene. Spear was later killed in an officer involved shooting.

On Friday, Gasbarri was located at a business near the 5100 block of North Oracle Road, a department news release said.

Tucson Police SWAT officers, K-9 units and U.S. Marshals were able to detain Gasbarri without incident.

He has been booked at the Pima County Jail on seven different charges, which includes first-degree murder, armed robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
