Screen shot of suspected Sahuarita vandal caught on video.

Sahuarita police have arrested three juveniles in connection with possible car theft and vandalism last week, officials say.

On Jan. 12 at about 4 a.m., officers were dispatched to the 100 block of W. Calle Tierra Sandia after reports of a suspicious car in the area. Officers found the car in question was stolen and had struck a water main before being abandoned.

Officers also found that numerous cars and homes in the neighborhood had been vandalized with spray paint, according to a Sahuarita Police Department press release.

Numerous suspects were caught on video running away from and vandalizing a driveway, which police say helped in the investigation.

The trio was arrested and booked into the Pima County Juvenile Detention Center on suspicion of third degree burglary, theft of means of transportation and unlawful means of transportation.

Police say the investigation is continuing and more charges and arrests are forthcoming.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or the Sahuarita Police Department tip line at 344-7847.
