Firefighters on the northwest side doused two separate brush fires in the same area on Friday.
Just after 11 a.m. Northwest Fire crews were called to a brush fire off of North Oracle Road near West Rudasill Road. Crews found two fires burning in the area. One fire was on the west side of Oracle and the other was on the east side of Oracle.
Because of that, additional units were brought to the scene, including a water tender. The fires were quickly contained, with each burning an area about 50 feet by 50 feet in size.
The Pima County Sheriff's Department is investigating because the two fires were in close proximity to each other at the same time, Northwest Fire officials said.
