A 21-year-old man died in a fall from an upper level of the University of Arizona's Sixth Street parking garage, officials said.

The death was believed to be a suicide, campus police said.

The man, who was not a student, was discovered early Thursday afternoon near the garage. He was unconscious but breathing and transported to Banner-University Medical Center for treatment, said UA police spokeswoman, Sgt. Cindy Spasoff.

He was pronounced dead at 12:47 p.m.

The man has been identified, but police are not releasing his name at this time, Spasoff said. His family has been notified.
