Tucson police are on the scene of an electrical pole on fire and downed power lines on Tucson's east side, authorities said.
Drivers and pedestrians should avoid the area of of East Speedway Boulevard and North Wilmot Road, as northbound travel is restricted. The curb lane and right lane are both blocked, according to a Tucson Police Department media alert.
It's unknown when the lanes will be reopened.
About 1,100 people are without power in the area, and Tucson Electric Power is currently gathering information on the situation, according to the online outage map.
