A suspected smuggler threw a rock at a Border Patrol agent in a mountainous area near Nogales.
Agents arrested three people carrying 150 pounds of marijuana around 2 a.m. Monday. During the arrest, one of the suspects threw a “football-sized rock” and hit one of the agents, the agency said in a statement Tuesday.
The statement did not describe the extent of the agent’s injuries caused by the rock, but said the agent is recovering.
