Pima County Sheriff's deputies are looking for a man wanted in connection with a robbery on Tucson's north side, authorities said.

Just before 8 a.m. on Jan. 22, deputies responded to Walmart, located at 2175 W. Ruthrauff Rd., to reports of a robbery, said Deputy Courtney Rodriguez, a sheriff's department spokeswoman.

Deputies learned that a man attempting to steal deodorant and energy drinks shoved a store employee who tried to stop him as he left the store, Rodriguez said.

Because force was used in the theft, the nature of the offense is elevated to robbery, Rodriguez said.Β

The man is described as being between 20 and 30 years old, having blonde hair and a blonde goatee. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, gray sweatshirt, jeans and carrying a gray backpack.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.
