An Arizona National Parks Festival on Sunday, Oct. 28, will celebrate the 22 National Park Service units in the state with information from park experts, dance and music performances, family activities and more.

It will include booths with information about each of the 22 sites β€” ranging from Grand Canyon and Saguaro national parks to Park Service monuments, memorials and recreation areas.

Among other festival offerings is a kids area, with activities and crafts related to parks such as learning to make a petroglyph.

Scheduled stage performances include the Yavapai Bird Dancers and Gourd Singers, Ballet Folklorico La Paloma and a talk by an Apache storyteller.

For the hungry: Food trucks will be on hand.

Partner organizations in the festival include the Arizona Office of Tourism, Friends of Saguaro National Park, the city of Tucson and the Western National Parks Association.
