Ayuda of Southern Arizona-Smiles for Soldiers Program

Mission: To identify and fill gaps in social services for underserved populations for whom social services are not traditionally available.

Wish list: Dental professionals willing to donate or discount services for retired and disabled veterans with Ayuda paying the out-of-pocket costs (such as lab work or dentures) for the professional providing free services; donations to pay for essential dental care for veterans who are ineligible to receive dental benefits from the Veterans Administration and are financially unable to obtain necessary dental care.

Mission: Providing supportive housing that enhances the well-being and quality of life for very low-income seniors

Wish list: Books, magazines, puzzles, board games and card games; cleaning products; clothing (gloves, beanies, blankets, scarves and warm socks); movies/DVDs (documentaries, concert DVDs in Spanish and English); toiletries (toilet paper, bar soap, shampoo/conditioner, toothpaste/toothbrushes, poise pads, paper towels, dish soap and laundry detergent/fabric softener); nonperishable food items (canned vegetables, fruit or meat items).
