The homicide victim found last week in a desert area of the Foothills was identified Wednesday as Andrew Laffaite Johnson, 33, according to the Pima County Sheriff's Department.
Johnson also went by Anthony Levi Smith and prior to living in the United States, he lived in Jamaica and the United Kingdom.
A woman who lives near Sabino Canyon reported finding a body of a man in a desert area at the north end of North Bowes Road north of East Snyder Road, said Deputy Courtney Rodriguez, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman.
Deputies responded to the area and found the man. He was not carrying identification, said Rodriguez.
