Metal spikes protruding out of manholes were found atΒ South Calle Cordova and East Golf Links Road, South Prudence Road and East Golf Links Road and East Speedway Boulevard and South Kolb Road Thursday morning.

For the fourth time this year, multiple vehicles reported damage after road spikes were discovered on the east side of town this morning, authorities said.

The spikes were found in manholes located at the intersections of South Calle Cordova and East Golf Links Road, South Prudence Road and East Golf Links Road and East Speedway Boulevard and South Kolb Road, said Sgt. Kristopher Goins, a Tucson Police Department spokesman.

At least five vehicles sustained damage from the spikes, which were reported to police shortly before 6 a.m.

Similar spikes were previously found in multiple east side locations in January, April and May.
