Customs officers at the Douglas port of entry seized about seven pounds of marijuana hidden in bicycles being ridden by two teens.

Earlier this month, a Customs and Border Protection dog at the crossing alerted officers to the bicycles that a 17-year-old boy and girl from Douglas were riding across the border, the agency said in a news release.

Officers found 3½ pounds of marijuana hidden in the tires of each bicycle.

The drugs were worth about $3,400. The bikes were seized and the two teens were turned over to Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
