Customs and Border Protection officers at the Mariposa crossing in Nogales seized 16 firearms and ammunition from a vehicle heading into Mexico.
On Aug. 24, officers performing outbound inspections sent a 2010 Toyota Tacoma driven by a 23-year-old Phoenix woman to secondary inspection.
Officers there discovered the firearms and ammunition. The guns and truck were seized. The woman was turned over to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's Homeland Security Investigations.
