U.S. Rep. Ron Barber, Martha McSally.

With nearly 200,000 votes counted in Congressional District 2, Republican Martha McSally leads by 363 votes in her rematch against the Democratic incumbent Ron Barber.

Barber closed the gap by 900 votes since the last report on Wednesday night. The new results all came from Pima County, where the elections department counted about 16,000 early ballots on Thursday.

Roughly 24,000 ballots are still uncounted in Pima County, a mix of early and provisional ballots. Barber has been leading in Pima County returns.

About 3,200 are still left uncounted in Cochise County as well, where McSally did better in the polls.

It could take several days before all the results are known, officials from both Pima and Cochise counties said.

Both the Elections Department and Recorder’s Office expect to work through the weekend to complete the count.
