Ignacio and 22 children from the surrounding area took photographs along the Arizona/Mexico border as part of the camp. Photographers and editors from National Geographic teach the children the basics of photography and have them tell their stories through the camera's lens.

Stephen Slate, 13, from Arivaca, presses up against the metal posts along the Arizona/Mexico border as he and 22 children from the surrounding area take photographs along the Arizona/Mexico border at the port of Sasabe as part in the National Geographic's Photo Camp. Many of the children had never ventured far from home and were seeing the border for the first time. The week-long program is going from Sunday, June 15 through Friday June 20.

US Border Patrol Agents Bryan Flowers, center and Shevannah Wray, explain their agency's role along the border at the port of Sasabe as part in the National Geographic's Photo Camp. At week's end there is a viewing of the children's work scheduled for Friday, June 20 from 4:30pm-6:30pm at the Arivaca Community Center, 6012 W Universal Ranch Rd.
