Aspiring police officers know that they'll be fighting crime, and firefighters are well aware that putting out fires is life-threatening. But there are some careers in which the perils are less evident.

Using data from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics and ONet, HealthGrove and StartClass looked at the 22 most dangerous jobs based on the fatal injury rate per 100,000 full-time workers.
