PHOENIX β€” Fulfilling a campaign promise, Gov. Doug Ducey promised today to propose yet another state tax cut.

But the details of how much β€” and who benefits β€” will have to wait.

In his second State of the State speech, the governor told lawmakers he intends to work with them to figure out how best to answer those questions.

"Together, we will lower taxes this year,'' he said. "Next year. And the year after that.''

But Ducey also vowed that when his budget is unveiled at the end of the week it will include more money for education.

"It doesn't have to be an either/or,'' Ducey said.

"We can be responsible with our budget, invest in the future, and allow the people to keep more of the dollars they earn,'' he continued. "After all, it's the people's money, not the government's.''
