A rollover near Nogales on Monday ejected three people, including an infant in a car seat, and injured a total of eight occupants in the vehicle that was traveling south on Interstate 19, authorities said.
The infant was in a car seat and did not appear to suffer external injuries, said Sgt. Robert Fierros, a Nogales Police Department spokesman.
The crash happened in the area of kilometer 8 shortly after 1 p.m. June 26, said Quentin Mehr, an Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman.
Investigators do not know why the driver ran off the road, said Mehr.
Two juveniles were airlifted by helicopter to Banner-University Medical Center Tucson. The other people injured, including the infant, were taken to Holy Cross Hospital in Nogales, Mehr said.
South I-19 is closed down to one lane while the investigation continues.
Traffic is being routed off at Grand Avenue.
