Border Patrol agents arrested a Mexican couple on Friday after they found more than $730,000 worth of cocaine hidden in the truck they were driving at the Arizona 90 immigration checkpoint. The drugs weighed about 65 pounds.

Border Patrol agents from the Willcox Station arrested a Mexican couple on Friday after they found more than $730,000 worth of cocaine hidden in the truck they were driving at the Arizona 90 immigration checkpoint.

The agents sent the 1997 GMC pickup for further inspection after a drug dog alerted to the vehicle, according to a news release from Customs and Border Protection.

Agents found a false floorboard concealing nearly 65 pounds of cocaine.

The Mexican citizens, a 44-year-old driver and his 42-year-old wife, were arrested on suspicion of drug smuggling.
