The $22 million garage will have 915 parking spaces on more than 282,000 square feet and is expected to be completed by August, just in time for the football season. It is located just south of East Sixth Street between North Warren and North Martin avenues. The garage is being built over surface parking lots and will be located near other UA facilities.
New parking garage going up south of Arizona Stadium
Some names from the University of Arizona Football Ring of Honor are visible in the background as work on the South Stadium Garage continues in Tucson on April 19, 2017. The new garage is located southeast of the football stadium near East Sixth Street between North Warren and Martin Avenues. The $22 million garage will replace surface parking lots near facilities, including residence halls, a recreation field and the environmental sciences building. The 282,000-square-foot structure is scheduled to be completed by August. Its being built on what is now a surface parking lot. The garage should accommodate 915 parking spaces.
