A bicyclist died Wednesday after falling off his bicycle and hitting his head on a rock, the Pima County Sheriff's Department says.
The accident occurred about 8 a.m. April 3 in the area of West Misty Hollow Lane and North Coral Ridge Loop, near North La Cholla Boulevard and south of West Overton Road, on the Tucson area's far northwest side.
When deputies arrived, the Golder Ranch Fire Department was on scene attempting life-saving measures.
The bicyclist, 81-year-old Norman Cameron, was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, the Sheriff's Office said in a news release Wednesday night.
