A lightning bolt lances down, striking power lines near I-10 at the southern tip of the Rincon Mountains, part a storm cell that crashed through the area dropping rain and sparking fires, Wednesday, June 8, 2017.

Partly cloudy skies today and temperatures will be a few degrees cooler than yesterday, as the Excessive Heat Warning has passed.

A few more showers and thunderstorms are possible this afternoon to areas east of Tucson, but coverage will be less than yesterday's storms and it's unlikely Tucson will see much action.

Gusty winds will be possible with the storms along with dry lighting, which has the potential to result in new wildfire starts.
