A woman told police she was assaulted by a stranger Thursday morning while walking near Christina Taylor Green Memorial Park.

Pima County sheriff’s deputies arrived at the park near North Shannon Road and West Magee Road around 9:20 a.m. to gather details. Law enforcement released no information about injuries to the woman.

The attacker is described as a large-build, 20-year-old Hispanic or Native American man, around 5-foot-8-inches tall, with short black or brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a white t-shirt with a graphic on the front, dark basketball shorts, and red tennis shoes, deputies were told.

The Sheriff's Department is asking residents to call 9-1-1 if they see anyone who matches this description or is acting suspiciously.
