Emergency crews are on the scene of a two-vehicle crash involving three people, in the area of West Avra Valley and North Sanders Road.

Marana police are investigating a crash on the northwest side of town that left two people seriously injured Tuesday morning.

The details of the incident are unclear, but three people were injured in the two-car collision at West Avra Valley and North Sanders Road, said Capt. Brian Keeley, a Northwest Fire District spokesman.

Northwest Fire paramedics transported two of the patients to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries and the third patient was also taken to the hospital, but with minor injuries, Keeley said.

The intersection is open, but emergency vehicles on the scene are causing heavy traffic due to slowing.
