Landscape architecture firm Norris Design donated time to design two options.
Both include shaded amphitheater seating, desert landscaping, flagpoles, engraved pavers or plaques, and parking.
Option One is a set of five pentagon shapes, each representing a branch of the armed services, arranged around a star-shaped plaza representing first responders.
Option Two is a circle formed by six wedge shapes, each representing a branch of the armed services and first responders.
The Oro Valley Town Council is expected to approve the design favored by the public next month. A town task force would raise money for construction.
