A woman was struck by a vehicle on Tucson's south side Tuesday night and taken to Banner-University Medical Center with serious injuries.
Shortly after 8 p.m., Rural/Metro Fire Department paramedics responded to reports of a vehicle striking a person in the area of South Palo Verde Road and East Benson Highway, said Battalion Chief Jay Karlik.
A woman, age unknown, was found lying in the road, Karlik said. Paramedics performed CPR and took her to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Pima County Sheriff's Department deputies were investigating the incident.
No further information was immediately available.
In another incident, a woman was killed Monday night in the city after she was struck by a vehicle on West Valencia Road, west of Interstate 19. The woman was not in a crosswalk, police said.
