The U.S. National Weather Service in Tucson is warning of a Red Flag warning and Wind Advisory happening at the same time today.

It's shaping up to be quite an exciting weather day, with a Red Flag warning and overlapping Wind Advisory forecasted for a large portion of southeast Arizona today.

With today's strong winds and low humidity, the U.S. National Weather Service is warning that any fires that develop or are already underway are likely to spread fast.

Tucson will be under Red Flag conditions from 2 to 8 p.m., but the Wind Advisory for the area kicks in a few hours earlier, at 11 a.m., and is also expected to last until 8 p.m.

As always with gusty winds, blowing dust is a concern and a Blowing Dust advisory has been issued for areas along I-10 from Wilcox to the Arizona/New Mexico border.
