One person was killed in a small plane crash this morning near Interstate 10 and the Safford exit, officials say.
Cochise County deputies continue to search the area this morning for survivors, though they say it’s unlikely more people were in the plane.
The crash was reported to the department about 9:30 Thursday morning.
A fixed-wing aircraft was found a short time later. One person was dead inside.
