One person was killed in a collision this evening on Arizona 83 near Sonoita, authorities said.
The highway is closed in both directions at milepost 43, about 10 miles north of the town, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.
The crash involved two vehicles, according to the Arizona Department of Public Safety.
The road is expected to be closed in the area until at least 9:15 p.m.
No further information was immediately available.
