Officials have identified the man killed in Wednesday's crash on southbound Interstate 19 near Valencia Road.
John C. Croci, 19, lost control of his pickup truck about 4 a.m., swerved, struck a car and rolled, according to Arizona Department of Public Safety spokesman Quentin Mehr. It's unknown why he lost control.
Croci was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from his car, Mehr said.
He was taken to a hospital where he died from his injuries.
