A team from BASIS Tucson North was proclaimed the winner of MATHCOUNTS' regional competition.
MATHCOUNTS is a national math enrichment, coaching and competition program.
The winning team's members are: Tom George, Michael Zhang, Trey Allen and Joseph Wang. The team will represent Southern Arizona in the state-level competition, which will be held in Vail on March 18.
Orange Grove Middle School's team won second place and Sonoran Science Academy's team, third.Β
