A 68-year-old woman was killed Saturday night in a crash with a driver Tucson police say was impaired.
The crash happened about 9:15 p.m. when Candace Ann Zenor, 68, was struck while turning left in a 2018 Nissan Murano from westbound East 22nd Street onto Southbound South Sarnoff Drive, Tucson police said in a news release.
Zenor died at a hospital.
The unidentified driver of a 2018 Dodge Caravan was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. An officer later determined the Caravan driver, a 35-year-old woman, was impaired at the time of the crash, the release said.
Investigators say the Caravan, headed east on 22nd in the middle lane, was traveling above the posted speed limit, the release said.
The investigation continues.
