Itโ€™s been a year of good news for pickleball enthusiasts.

Utah-based The Picklr has announced it will open a 30,000-square-foot location with 11 courts in the spring at Oro Valley Marketplace, 11855 N. Oracle Road.

The facility will also have one championship-sized court, a pro shop and private event space.

โ€œBringing The Picklr to Tucson means the pickleball community here will now have the best-in-class indoor pickleball experience offered anywhere,โ€ said Greg Larsen, co-owner and general manager of The Picklr Tucson. โ€œA core value of The Picklr is to connect members of the community through pickleball and we are excited to be an integral part of this community for many years to come.โ€

This is the third pickleball facility to announce a Tucson presence.

Ace Pickleball Club is opening 11 courts in the former Stein Mart department store at 4881 N. River Road. And Padel Alley is building a padel and pickleball court facility at the site of a former veterinary clinic at 5943 E. Speedway.

To support all this pickleball activity, Pickleball RX has leased 1,230 square feet at the southeast corner of Country Club and Fort Lowell roads, in Winterhaven Square, from Glover Associates LP, offering pickleball equipment and accessories. Natalie Furrier, Greg Furrier and Rob Tomlinson, with Picor, represented the landlord. Lily Sanchez, with Omni Homes International LLC, represented the tenant.

โ€ขย Stewart Boot Co. LLC leased 1,200 square feet at Town Central Business Park, 4901-5069 E. 29th Street, from Pegasus Tucson Owner LLC. Paul Hooker, Andrew Keim and Kameron Norwood, with Picor, handled the lease.

โ€ข Wood and Stone LLC leased 2,923 square feet at Palo Verde Business Center, 3820 S. Palo Verde Road, from Pegasus Tucson Owner LLC. Paul Hooker and Andrew Keim, with Picor, represented the landlord. Esther Empens, with Tierra Antigua Realty, represented the tenant.

โ€ขย The Larger Company Inc. leased 2,532 square feet of industrial space at Eastside Research Commerce Center, 8075 E. Research Court, from Research Investors LLC. Kameron Norwood, with Picor, represented the tenant and Max Fisher, with BRD Realty LLC, represented the landlord.

โ€ขย Lucky Dog Mobile Groomers leased 600 square feet at Frontier Village, on the northeast corner of Pima Street and Alvernon Way. The landlord, Larsen Baker, was represented by its broker, Isaac Figueroa and Ben Craney, with NAI Horizon, represented the tenant.
