A missing Amado man was found Thursday by Santa Cruz County authorities and taken to a hospital to undergo treatment for exposure.

Francisco Rodriguez, 75, who has memory issues and can become confused, was separated from his wife on a trip near Nogales, Arizona late Tuesday afternoon, said Deputy Courtney Rodriguez, a Pima County Sheriff's Department spokeswoman.

He was found south of the Pima County line by Santa Cruz County Sheriff's deputies and Border Patrol, Rodriguez said.

No further details to where he was located, or if he was in his pickup truck were released.

On Wednesday, authorities asked the public for help in locating Rodriguez. He was last seen driving a beige Ford F150 crew cab pickup truck through a Border Patrol checkpoint along Interstate 19, heading toward Tucson shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday.
