As kids in Pima County get ready for trick-or-treating tonight, make sure they're getting the proper Halloween "sugar rush."

The Pima County Attorney's Office urges parents to check their children's candy before consumption, especially "flavored candy or gummy bears wrapped in plain individual wrapping with no manufacturer markings."

Officials say it may be laced with THC, which is a component of marijuana. Several bags were recently seized by law enforcement, the attorney's office said.

Tucson Police Department also provided additional safety tips for a successful Halloween night.
