Traffic is currently restricted to one lane on North Country Club Road between East Third and Fifth streets, officials say.
Both directions of traffic are affected. Restrictions are expected to last until Friday morning. Drivers should avoid the area.
According to Sgt. Pete Dugan, a Tucson police spokesman, the driver lost control and hit a power pole early Thursday morning.
Crews with Tucson Electric Power are currently working on repairs.
