A summer storm dumped nearly 2 inches of rain in portions of Oro Valley Monday evening.
According to a Pima County Flood Control District rain gauge, 1.89 inches of rain fell near Big Wash at Rancho Vistoso Boulevard.
Other readings show 0.12 of an inch at West Moore Road and North La Cholla Boulevard; 0.28 of an inch on Mount Lemmon and 1.02 inches at Sabino Creek southeast of Marshall Gulch.
Monday night will remain mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service in Tucson.
The lows are predicted to be between 71 to 76 degrees with a 40 percent chance of rain in the metropolitan area.
On Tuesday, the forecast calls for scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning, and more rain and thunderstorms in the afternoon, says the weather service.
The high is predicted to reach between 86 to 92 degrees with a 60 percent chance of rain.
