A trio of goats roaming a Marana neighborhood that were nabbed by police this week have been returned to their owner.

About 5:30 p.m. Thursday the wooly critters were spotted roaming in the Colina de Anaza neighborhood, near North Hartman Lane and West Cortaro Farms Road. They were quickly apprehended by officers, Marana Police said in a Facebook post.

A pair a wayward goats huddle in the doorway of a Marana home Thursday before they were rounded up by police.

The goats took a short ride in a police cruiser and were housed by Marana Animal Services while authorities worked to get them back home.

On Saturday, Marana police said in a Facebook post that the goats had been reunited with their owner.
