A 34-year-old motorcyclist died Saturday, April 20, of injuries from an April 7 crash on Tucson's east side, police said.

Jaudiel Adrian Castelo died at a hospital where he had been taken after the collision, which occurred just after 6 p.m. April 7 at the intersection of North Sarnoff Drive and East Broadway, police said.

Police determined that a red 2010 Toyota Corolla was traveling north on Sarnoff when it was struck by the motorcyclist. The motorcyclist was riding a 2007 Harley-Davidson westbound on Broadway.

"The motorcycle was traveling well above the posted 40 mph speed limit and failed to stop for the red light at the intersection at Sarnoff," the Tucson Police Department said in a news release. The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet.

"Police found narcotics in the motorcyclist’s possession. An officer from the DUI Unit responded to the scene and determined that the driver of the Toyota, a 19-year-old female, was not impaired," police said in the news release.
