Firefighters from eight different departments came to the aid of Bisbee residents early this morning, helping to extinguish an overnight fire at the town's city hall.
At about 1 a.m. today, Bisbee police were alerted to a fire at City Hall on Arizona Street, Carol Capas, a Cochise County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman, said in a news release.
Bisbee Fire Department was the first to arrive, and began fire suppression efforts on the building.
Shortly after, firefighters with Naco Fire, San Jose Fire, Sunnyside Fire, Douglas Fire, Whetstone Fire, Palominas Fire and Sierra Vista Fire departments also arrived at the scene to help battle the blaze, Capas said.
The fire was successfully extinguished, but as a result, water pressure in the Warren area is significantly reduced this morning, with some residents reporting very low or no water, Capas said.
Arizona Water Company is working to repair the issue.
There's also low-lying smoke remaining in the Warren district, and people with respiratory issues are advised to remain inside until the smoke has dissipated, Capas said.
No injuries were reported in the blaze.
Residents are asked to avoid the City Hall area until further notice.
