Pima County sheriff's deputies have arrested a man in connection with the slaying of another man whose body was found in a northwest side home on Monday.
James R. Lapan, 35, was arrested early Friday during a traffic stop on Pinal Air Park Road, west of Interstate 10, according to a news release.
He was arrested in connection with the death of Nicolas Morelos, 45. He was booked into the Pima County jail on one count of first degree murder.
Deputies found Morelos' body with obvious signs of trauma around 9 a.m. Monday inside his home on the 9200 block of North Grouse Place, located east of Interstate 10 between West Cortaro Farms Road and West Linda Vista Boulevard.Β
Morelos' body was found by a woman who went to his house to visit him, said department spokeswoman Deputy Courtney Rodriguez.Β
