Border Patrol agents on horseback found abandoned marijuana bundles near Ajo.

Border Patrol agents on horseback found more than 340 pounds of marijuana abandoned near Ajo on Sunday.

The agents reported seeing about 10 people walking in the desert and when the agents on horseback rode to the spot they found eight bundles of marijuana. Those carrying the bundles fled and were not found.

The drugs were worth about $170,000.
