A brush fire in an alley spread to a mobile home on Tucson's northwest side Monday afternoon. No one was injured in the blaze, Northwest Fire District authorities said.

The fire was reported Oct. 2 by a 911-caller shortly before 1 p.m. in the 2800 block of West Palm Vista Street, near North Davis Avenue, said fire Capt. Brian Keeley.

The neighborhood is east of Interstate 10, north of West Ruthrauff Road and west of North La Cholla Boulevard.

When firefighters arrived, they found that the brush fire spread to the rear of the mobile home. Crews began fighting the blaze but were restricted because power lines were down in the area, Keeley said.

Firefighters entered the home and prevented flames from entering the interior, Keeley said. Tucson Electric Power crews arrived and told firefighters the area was safe. Firefighters then put out hot spots.

Fire investigators were working to determine the cause of the fire. No damage estimate was determined at this time, Keeley said.
