Traffic on eastbound I-10 was temporarily restricted Saturday afternoon, as Tucson Fire Department battled a brushfire on Miracle Mile.

A small brushfire in the area of Interstate 10 and Miracle Mile temporarily restricted traffic on the freeway this afternoon, authorities said.

The fire started in the area between I-10 and SA Recycling, a metal salvage company located on Miracle Mile, said Barrett Baker, a Tucson Fire Department spokesman.

The fire was quickly brought under control and no injuries were reported.

Tucson police were on the scene to assist with traffic control, since the right lane of travel on eastbound I-10 was briefly closed.
