Business owner helps needy in community with new roofs

Why: Shepler owns Roof Coating Specialist Inc. and every year gives away free roof coatings to those in need. He regularly seeks out people in need in the community who could benefit from receiving the new roof coatings for their homes. Since 2016, he has given away 12 free roofs to many households, including a single parent, individuals on fixed incomes, elderly people/couples and others, according to White’s nomination letter.

“Joe’s kindness and generosity truly have had a positive effect on the lives of many throughout the community,” White wrote.
