United Way of Tucson and Southern Arizona: The local United Way received a $10,000 grant from the U.S. Bank Foundation. The grant will be used to support Tucson-area youth ages 16-24 who are disconnected from work and from school by providing education, training, employment and wrap around supports.

Sundt Construction: Sundt Construction ranked No. 51 on Engineering News-Record’s 2024 Top 400 Contractors list, climbing 11 spots from the previous year. ENR, the construction industry’s principal trade publication, ranks contractors based on reported revenue from the prior year.

Sundt reported more than $2.2 billion in revenue for 2023, according to a news release. Headquartered in Tempe, the contractor has more than 3,000 employee-owners and 13 offices across the western and southern parts of the United States.

Pima County Health Department: The Arizona Department of Health Services recognized the Pima County Health Department with the platinum Healthy Arizona Worksite Program award.

The honor recognizes businesses and organizations that are making efforts to positively affect the health and well-being of their employees, their families and their community through evidence-based worksite health initiatives and promising programs, a news release said.

This is the second year in a row the department has received the honor.

Amber Lights: Amber Lights Active Retirement Community has been reaccredited by CARF International. The certification, which is valid through 2027, is the highest level of accreditation that can be awarded to a retirement community. To earn reaccreditation, Amber Lights underwent a voluntary peer review process to ensure its programs and services met the highest standards of quality, measurability and accountability.
