Three people were announced as winners Thursday in this year’s Jim Click Millions for Tucson Raffle.

The annual raffle this year raised $1.8 million for 378 local charities. That’s a record amount for the annual raffle that is in its 15th year, a news release said.

This year’s effort marks the most money raised in a single year in the 15-year history of the raffle. To date, the raffles sponsored by Click have raised nearly $17 million for local charities.

Jim Click talks to a crowd gathered at Reid Park Zoo Thursday evening for the announcement of winners in this year’s Jim Click Millions for Tucson Raffle. The raffle raised a record $1.8 million for local charities.

The past three raffles have raised an average of over $1.6 million each year.

β€œI am so proud of our Tucson and Southern Arizona charitable organizations, first, for the great work they do in our community, and second, because they worked very hard to make this the most successful raffle to date,” said Jim Click, a longtime Tucson businessman and philanthropist, said in a prepared statement. β€œThe Click family is grateful for our community for their generous spirit shown to our local non-profits and for the charities themselves in the important work they do.”

β€œIn this season of giving, I’m gratified in seeing everyone come together to help out their fellow citizens,” Click said.
