Gas prices dropped across Arizona and the nation this week as falling demand offset rebounding crude-oil prices, AAA says.
The statewide average gas price dropped more than 7 cents in a week to $3.31 per gallon on Friday, while the national average fell about 3 cents to $3.09 per gallon.
Tucson kept the state's lowest average gas price at $3.17 per gallon, down nearly a dime on the week, while Scottsdale had the highest average at $3.47 per gallon.
AAA said that weak gas demand, alongside increased supply, has pushed pump prices lower though rising oil prices have limited price decreases.
If gas demand remains weak, drivers will likely continue to see pump prices trickle downward, the group said.
