Pima Federal Credit Union: Pima Federal Credit Union has distributed $26,000 through donations and prizes. Ahead of the Thanksgiving holiday, Pima Federal randomly gifted 20 of its members with a $250 Fryβs Food gift card. In the month that followed, a number of efforts took place. The credit union had a second random giveaway for its members, this time in the form of $1,500 cash for five winners. Pima Federal supported Ramonβs Miracle on 31st Street, which provides gifts to children and families in need within the Tucson community. There was also the Pima Elves Gift Giving program, which included the credit unionβs 24 departments and branches selecting an organization to provide a $500 donation to, for a total of $12,000. In addition to the monetary prizes and donations, the credit union participated in KVOAβs Season 4 Hope campaign to collect donations for The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona, Toys for Tots and The Diaper Bank.
Dutch Bros: On Dec. 20, Tucson-area Dutch Bros donated $1 from every drink sold to support the Tucson Breakfast Lions Club. The organization supports vision screenings for school children, all-day camps for individuals with disabilities and special needs, and more.
Resurrection Lutheran Church, Oro Valley: Resurrection Lutheran Church in Oro Valley partnered with The Salvation Armyβs Angel Tree program. The congregation donated 250 toys and six bicycles to the Angel Tree program.
Research Corporation for Science Advancement: Research Corporation for Science Advancement contributed more than $16,000 total in December to the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona and Aviva Childrenβs Services through staff donations and matching gifts by the foundation. RCSA is a foundation that provides funding for innovative scientific research and the development of academic scientists.
